Grounding or Earthing is done by connecting to the earth's energy by walking barefoot on the ground, which reduces inflammation, stress and pain and increases overall wellness.
How often do you walk barefoot on the ground, on grass, on sand, on earth?
Back in the day, our ancestors used to sleep on the floor and walk barefoot everywhere they went. In our modern lives, we wear shoes and live in houses, protecting us from the elements, but in doing so, we've disconnected ourselves from the earth's energy, which has a natural negative electric charge.
You see, when our bodies touch the ground, it releases static electricity, free radicals, and it even protects us against electromagnetic radiation (EMF's).
You might be familiar with the fact that buildings, our homes and power sockets are grounded to protect us (and the buildings) from lightning, power surges or damaged circuits. Like buildings, we need to ground ourselves to release the electrical charges we carry!
HOW TO GET GROUNDED
Try to ground yourself at least 30 minutes a day by:
Walking barefoot or lying down on grass, sand, dirt, soil, gravel or rock.
Swimming in the sea, lakes or rivers.
Using earthing products like grounding mats, sheets, blankets, etc. My personal favourite is using the mat under my feet at my desk ;)
